Many social networking Web sites have lots of bells and whistles. Sites like MySpace and Facebook let users build profiles, upload pictures, incorporate multimedia, keep a blog and integrate useful or bizarre programs into homepages. But one Web company with a very simple service is rapidly becoming one of the most talked-about social networking service providers: Twitter.

So what does Twitter do? When you sign up with Twitter, you can use the service to post and receive messages to a network of contacts. Instead of sending a dozen e-mails or text messages, you send one message to your Twitter account, and the service distributes it to all your friends. Members use Twitter to organize impromptu gatherings, carry on a group conversation or just send a quick update to let people know what’s going on.

Twitter’s history is entwined with a few other Internet companies. Twitter’s founders are Evan Williams, Biz Stone and Jack Dorsey. A few years before Twitter was born, Williams created Blogger, a popular Web journal service. Internet giant Google purchased Blogger, and Williams began to work directly for Google. Before long, he and Google employee Stone left the Internet giant to form a new company called Odeo.

Odeo is a podcasting service company. According to Williams, he didn’t have a personal interest in podcasting, and under his guidance, the company temporarily lost focus. However, one of Odeo’s products was just beginning to gather steam: Twitter, a new messaging service. Stone gave Twitter its name, comparing the short spurts of information exchange to the chirping of birds and pointing out that many ring tones sound like bird calls .

As the service became a more important part of Odeo, Stone and Williams decided to form a new company with Twitter as the flagship product. Williams bought out Odeo and Twitter from investors, then combined the existing company and service into a new venture called Obvious Corporation. Jack Dorsey joined the team and began to develop new ways for users to interface with Twitter, including through computer applications like instant messaging and e-mail. In March 2006, Twitter split off from Obvious to become its own company, Twitter Incorporated.

WHY PRIVATE FRANCHISING THROUGH AN AFFILIATE MARKET

True Affiliate Marketing, is a business that provides real products and services to real customers, and generates – RESIDUAL INCOME.
That is -
A Franchise/Affiliate business allows you to create income with , eventually, less and less time required to generate an ongoing income.
A Private Franchise, requires little or no start up cost, a template to create and run the business, and no ceiling, no territorial boundaries, and no income restrictions.
The only restriction on growth and profit – is You.
A private Franchise is Your Own Business, though you are part of a Group for buying and penetration power. Though you have a servicing agent and training company. Its your business. In your name. And never never reverts back to someone or can be bought out by someone or something. And if built correctly will run after your lifetime.
Let me repeat that -
If you choose to design it , a Private Franchise allows you create Residuals to such an extent they outlive you and are willable income (if you so desire) to your family or your favourite pet, charity or whatever.

As in a true Public Franchise, you as the Franchisor retain a percentage of your affiliates sales.

HOW MUCH?

Up to you -

a large business is $8,000, to $25,000 a month – every month, every year (many earn more, many earn less)

A moderate business $3,000 to $6,000 a month, every month, every year (average estimates)

If you have a lot of profitable affiliates – you will benefit from a large residual income.

As in a Public Franchise, you the Franchisor have a responsibility to your affiliates to train and serve them so that they can become profitable.

If you do not provide a true service to your customers. You will have no customers

If you do not provider a true service to your affiliates. You will have no affiliates.

The Grand-Daddy of the Affliates

So in terms of long lasting – there’s always Amway.Yup still there – $7.1 billion last year apparently.

Didn’t start out as an affiliate/network marketing deal – but gradually evolved. And now its on-line through what was once called the Quixtar web-site. Now Amway Global

Claims to be number 1 Health and Beauty product purveyor on-line. Could be. The Nurtilite brand is over $2 billion as is their Artistry line (Sandra Bullock – secret user – according to In-Touch Mag).

And the claim is – if you have the right ‘line” the ones at the top can only make money if their affiliates are making money – and if you study their true marketing plan payout – that’s how it seems to work

But the Master Affiliates of course have thousands of affliates and make a small percentage no matter how many or how ‘deep’ they go. So they too are earning $2 and 3 million a month. And most of them barely know how to switch on a computer

The World’s First Twitterview

I’ve just completed the what is believed to the the world’s first Twitterview – an interview done exclusively on Twitter with questions and answer that are no longer than 140 characters. The idea was the brainchild of Carl Ocab, who was just sitting around doing nothing when the idea came to him.

What if I do an interview on Twitter LIVE – people are hooked on Twitter, it’s not time consuming (No scheduling, no fancy audio recording, etc.), it’s VERY candid, and it’s fun (Doing an interview in 140 characters or less is something!)

Those of you who were following both myself and Carl would have saw the Twitterview go down live. For those who missed it, here’s a taste of how it went:

Great example of truth sells

Rather that ramble on about how fantastic Mass Control

Frank Kern lost everything a few years ago.

Clever non-stop urgent e-mails – looks like they’re dashed off in a frenzy – but of course they are all calculated – they are of course, all running on a “system” mass control. The clicks you have to do to go through them – the bright screaming pages and of course the videos and then click here for more videos and the “free” stuff and the come-ons etc. Very persuasive.

Watch how it works on your greed/desire/curiosity. Its very good.

And you can have all the software (its mostly automated response stuff) and widgets and scripting for about $1200. As Frank says he teaches you to sell above market price. Yes Above. Well he does

What you cant gather is how he gets his targets to start the emailing. Its not random mass mailing, he works at it. And I’m sure that information on how to do that is worth $1200. If you work at it.

But its fun for free to watch the machine attach itself to your email and work its wonders.

I have to wonder about his claim for video as the new be-all and end-all. I mean its his new territory and it worksd for hoim, because he works it. But video takes sooooo loooong to watch. But I guess its like early tv – its direct and it connects – and hes your friends right there in your house – jus chattin

YOU MUST DO SOMETHING EVERY SINGLE DAY TOWARDS ACCOMPLISHING YOUR GOAL.

It doesn’t matter how big or how small this effort has to be. It just has to be SOMETHING. So every day that passes in your life you will incrementally be closer to getting everything you want. It’s a simple, yet powerful concept.

If you want to lose weight, for example, then just walk 1/2 mile each day. Not a mile. Not 5 miles. 1/2 mile. If you walk 1/2 mile each day that’s like walking 3.5 miles a week. Walking 3.5 miles seems pretty far to most people. But 1/2 mile is nothing. Yet you get the same net result from walking 3.5 miles whether you accomplish it in one day or one week.

Almost anything worth accomplishing in life seems BIG when we look at it from “Step 1.” Everything requires incremental progress. And most things require MANY steps to reach the finish line.

When we are faced with everything we must do to accomplish any goal it often seems so overwhelming that it’s much easier to just put off starting it until another day. And that day often becomes a week, a month, a year, or more often than not… NEVER.

If you want to grow your business you must be taking action every single day that contributes towards your goal. This doesn’t mean checking your email more, or looking at stats more, or “doing research” (i.e. surfing sites all day) it means putting in the work towards creating that product, or doing some writing for an article or blog post, or making a video you’ve been wanting to make, or setting up a site and testing some Adwords, etc. etc.

Stop letting a single day go by when you aren’t making at least SOME incremental progress towards ALL your goals and it is IMPOSSIBLE that it won’t change your life for the better.

Even if it’s just a small step each day. Because that’s a step you’ll never have to do again and you’ll be even closer to accomplishing your goal.
